A Robin in a Field of Dandelions - LetterPile - Writing and Literature

A Robin in a Field of Dandelions

robin-in-a-field-of-dandelions

Robin in a field of white and yellow

Looking so proud, calm and mellow

The warm sun and breeze brightens the day

The branches of trees lightly sway

Sweet bird do you have a story for me?

Told with a song as you chirp with glee

Like a blanket, the dandelions on grass so green

Surround you like a pretty picture to be seen

Enhancing this glorious day in May

As I walked along I passed your way

Glad to spot you in this bright sunny light

The simple beauty of nature is a true delight

Beautiful poem that infuses the imagination, with the thoughts of summer. I linked it to my "yellow" hub. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful imagery, and a good blending of dandelions and robins.

This is a joyful little poem. Several relatives are named Robin and it had special meaning as a result.
