Insouciance

Want go out in the rain and get drenched once again
Feel the enchanting winds softly touch my cheeks

Lie on my cot in the terrace and stare stars gaze me
Savor your tale and tell my own how we get on in life

Halt the caravan on the way and stay at any exotic place
Both of us in solitude, immersed in the mystical sights

Become colorful butterflies and have a chat with flowers
Be like kites and chase each other in the infinite sky above

Forsake all bonds of desires and be free like flying birds
Believe in the fairies of the sky and mermaids of the ocean

Set aside the notion of good and evil , talk to my soul alone
Turmoils of life do not stop, go drifting in dreams far away

For a few moments, friend, want forget this bewitching world
Ramble in the contours of the self and meet a blissful daze

Yes, Chitrangada Sharan, childhood days were really enchanting , and were free from all prejudices and malice. So, sometime, a little bit of childlike indifference to the world yields joy to our soul. It's my pleasure that you felt affinity to these verses. Thanks for presenting such heartfelt comments.

Beautiful thoughts expressed in this poem!

Surprisingly, Sometimes I also think like this— Go back in time, to the carefree childhood days, when there were no worries, no stress. When little things were enough to bring smiles and laughter.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful poem!

Thank you , Devika for your visit. Glad you liked the poem. Our mind is a great wanderer, it, sometimes, ventures in the very strange places , and wants to be moulded in various forms. I wanted to express it all, hence this hub. I appreciate your comments.

Yes Shyron, you are right, time is the biggest constraint ; so many resposibilities along with the desire to accomplish our cherished projects. Wishing you all the best. You have been a great supporter all along. I appreciate it. Thanks for liking this piece.

Nice way to spend your time relaxing, carefree

But that could never be for me

Too many things left undone

But for you, glorious in the evening sun.

Blessings my friend

Harish Bhai,

Nice poem. Your poem reminded the song 'dil dhoondta hai'.

A great poetry for a sunny winter day and night when solitude takes over....

Yes bro, dreams are a real reflection of freedom ; in the dreams, all boundaries are broken, and nothing but bliss reigns supreme.

Though scriptures deem this world also as dream, but we identify ourselves with all differances like nationalities , belonging to some sects, etc.

Love you presence and comments.

Nice. We were born to dream after all. From dreams many great things come. Beautiful piece!
