As Spring Cometh In The Morning

The light shines bright!

The birds are chirping anew,

As the lark sings of vibrancy to the meadows.

The verdant hue of nature dances a merry

Tune, which permeates the very air I breathe.

Beethoven’s sonata reverberates in my soul.

No more of mists, fog, grey and shadows,

As the vast blue of skylight kisses my Spirit.

I can hear the resonance of gaiety in city squares,

And the smiles of loved ones breathing, kisses the soul.

Come! the energy’s alive as nightingales sing;

The Bard of Solace chats with Paradise.

The daffodils dance with the seasonal breeze,

As spring cometh in the morning.

-Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. 20th March, 2020

Happy Spring

Naruz, the first week of spring is here. Let us be cheerful, joyful, celebrate the beauty of the human Spirit ... try to bloom like the hyacinths and tulips; the orchids and the sunflowers, so that our lives, like the spring, will be full of Light. - Manatita

Manatita44,

I know there is not much else to do...but staying in bed is not the answer.

I don't feel much like being up either, but if I stay in bed...I might never get back up.

I shared this one to my page poets with a voice.

BRENDA ARLEDGE from Washington Court House on March 21, 2020:

Winderful feeling when Spring arrives.

It seems to give us hope.

My crocus bulbs bloomed yesterday on the first day of Spring!

Put a smile on my face...but then today we are cold back in the twenties.

But i am hopeful...oh yes!!!

manatita44 (author) from london on March 21, 2020:

Thank You, Devika.

We need that charming smile which you continue to share and inspire us with. Let us all make it a positive kind of contagious health. Om Shanti!

Devika Primić from Dubrovnik, Croatia on March 21, 2020:

manatita44 I have always been optimistic in life even through my experiences living in a foreign country. I believe there is no other way about life than to be positive. Days are warmer and fruitful so I spend most of my day outside This time of year is my best time to enjoy the outdoors. You have shared another hub of positivism.

manatita44 (author) from london on March 21, 2020:

Ah, Linda C,

The naturist in you, my Dear, or the botanist, perhaps. Spring is always a happy time. Right now though, things don't look too good as you know, but from my point of view a kind of renewal is still taking place. Thank you so much!

Lorna,

You are so right! A lofty sentiment indeed! Gratitude.

Lorna Lamon on March 21, 2020:

Hope springs eternal in this beautiful poem Manatita. Regardless of what is going on in this world and how uncertain it makes us feel, we will always have the reassurance of this beautiful Spring. A wonderful tribute to Kyler.

Linda Crampton from British Columbia, Canada on March 20, 2020:

This is a lovely tribute to Kyler. Your poem reminds me of the situation here. The weather has been good lately and signs of spring are increasing rapidly. I've already seen my first butterfly of the year. It's wonderful to look at nature and forget about other problems for a while.

Heck yeah, even in the rough times we are healing and the strife only serves to strengthen our muscles and resolve! We're all warriors and where our actions act as armor, hope and optimism be our sword and shield!

Very lovely to hear you and to know that you are ok. Thank you for this heartfelt sentiment - there are people here, thankfully not in our circle, I don't think, who still spread messages of doom and gloom.

Let us continue to see the summer, even though the winter's cold. Peace.

Verlie Burroughs from Canada on March 20, 2020:

Lovely Manatita. You have soulfully optimized my morning with your optimistic mystical verses. Happy Naruz!
