Reflections and Memories

I'm a writer, a poet, a dreamer. Born and raised in New York City. I now live in Daytona Beach, Florida with my wonderful cat Sid.

reflections-and-memories

Reflections upon the water,

I see so many things,

that bring back many yesterdays.

Reflections of my face,

reflecting some sadness –

since you went away.

Upon the shore,

in quiet times,

the shimmering water –

reflects many memories in my mind.

Of days walking side by side,

dreaming dreams

and being in love.

So much of you,

so many smiles to treasure,

so much I really miss –

for you were my only love.

Loving thoughts,

that bring to mind,

the many songs of love sung –

the many passionate kisses shared.

Somewhere from up above.

the sounds of loving melodies resound.

your voice whispering to me upon the wind –

telling of your love for me.

On an on in life, I go,

knowing my life’s path will lead me,

closer to you as I go

and one day you’ll extend your hand –

taking me with you into a loving land.

Reflections in my mind,

wondering where you are in time,

always they come to me –

shimmering, shining upon the water.
