Ready To Wake Up

Updated on September 23, 2018

I need you right now, how can I ask
You know I’ve thought of you
My eyes tire of the distance
Are you love or only it's resistance

So many times my mind understands
But my heart cannot obey
The loneliness I once felt
Is no longer alive, ice was born to melt

I'm ready to wake up
Get ready for your morning ever after
You can't change what we'll do
It's time for the things I dream of you

You solemnly walked up to me
You touched your forehead
I knew what you meant
Mine touched yours, our hearts fell silent

There are people that have died to whom
I said goodbye and never came back
I don’t want that for you
Hello again is only good if they love you too

I'm ready to wake up
Get ready for your morning ever after
You can't change what we'll do
It's time for the things I dream of you

First of all, thank you for reading, taking it to heart then giving me your sincere comments. The dialogue is what it's all about. I'm going with things that pop into my head driven by how I feel and it's always just a moment in time. Does it make sense? Is it me? I hope so. I don't want to be pretentious and pretend I'm a writer just because millions of others don't take the time to do what I do.

Born again produced... I like that. Yes, we should be invited; not united by charm or force. It is so much better when they actually want you and it's their idea. But society still steers us in the direction of male aggression or conquest however romantic and subtle it may be.

It sounds like you were ready to wake up even before those experiences that reinforced it. LOL I approve it when I take the socialist human view of it. But the way I look at it, Mark, since the girl receives everything from the boys organ to the child the girl should be the one doing the inviting. It's like natural horses, stallions are chosen by the mares and not the other way around so, as I interpret the Bible's garden in Eden story, adolescent girl walked up to a territorial adolescent boy after a dream warned him not to continue a life with her which led to "he fall of man into human/woman." So I require girls to invite me to them without expecting me to stay with them so i can remain is the state of man being "Born Again" produced.

      I enjoy the reading.
