Rainy Month

BeckyTP formally known as Rebecca Moraa is a student at Moi University Main Campus Kenya. My passion in poetry grew in primary school.

It's rainy this month;
But no, it only rains of ice
Just because it's winter season again
In my ousted coat am dressed-
With a head gear on;
Oh! No I haven't shaved my beards
My moustache all bushy
But guess what chaps:
I still hold onto it, harp or guitar?
The tunes and rythms I play
Call all the birds over; warmth
Yes, from the music of alonely harpist.
The tree I sit on; is linely too
I pitty it but don't dare take a look,
At it's leafless branches
That have turned all away from me
Oh! No This season ain' fair
But guess what chaps:
The tree still stands; strong and still
Against the cold winter;
I really hope it ends soon
So we both won't be lonely; rather happy.
