Pour me More

Want to dance with abandon
Let me satiate all hunger in me
The chalice of life to the brim
The damsel twitches my heart
Pour me more, my sweetheart
The breathing'll not sway forever
Nor the heart'll play to my tune
Pour me more, my sweetheart
Those moments made me mad
Some I caught, some cheated me
Pour me more, my sweetheart
Bring those demure stars close
to me
Love I drank some, some sorrow
spilled on my way
Pour me more, my sweetheart
How delicate look your hands
I love when you throw a glance
Pour me more, my sweetheart
What good I did, and what bad too
Never do I care, heat or cold alike
Pour me more, my sweetheart
Keep on moving, laughing or crying
My thirst craves for much, much and
much ..
Pour me more, my sweetheart
How I miss the fragrance of time gone
by
I long for that lost innocent insouciance
Pour me more, my sweetheart
Bring me back those stares once more
We've gathered here for awhile
No stay for none, all have to go
The riddle still stares at me
Untangle it before you take leave of me

Ha ..ha . .ha.. Eric , I love your comments. In a gathering of friends , one of them pours drinks for himself and all of them. He is called " Saaqi ". Saaqi is like a bartender. This poem is addressed to the Saaqi or the sweetheart. Glad you liked it. Thank you , dear friend.
