Poisoned Glitter
Poisoned glitter
He shined
with the sunlight
He shined
with the moonlight
When Autumn came
he was hidden
When winter came
I gave him light
I gave him my light
to shine brighter than me
to be
always in the spotlight
when my light died
the glitter didn't come
when I died
the glitter kept on shining

We should always live a little light for ourselves but the problem is we don't even notice we've already given away all our lights until it's too late. I wrote a poem about something like this but your words hits hard. *virtual hugs*
