Poetry: Love Is

My name is Candice Ballinger and I am a Christian woman who loves Jesus and his word.

Love Is

Beauty is His nature

it touches everything

His creation sings His name,

He holds me when I cry

and shows me the way;

when I am hopelessly lost

when I’m worn down to the bone

and left crying in the darkness

He lifts up my chin

and promises me better days to come,

I’m never left on my own

He surrounds my soul,

embracing me;

making me feel whole.

I am saved beyond myself

I can’t live without my savior

drench me in holiness

and whisper to my soul

when I’m praying;

that’s when I feel at home,

His saving grace touches my heart

and brings me back to life

each and every time

I am not forgotten,

no, I am saved.
