Poetry Advice

absolutely, punctuation is almost non-exis10t.

Period here, comma there

otherwise,

it's about structure, meaning--hidden meaning(s)--the more double,

triple, quadruple ententes--the better

Throw in a code using numb3rs.

This works 2.

B the 1...2 crack the cod3.

Poetr3e...should b3 fun

Don't think 2 hard--or it won't get done.

Rhyming is really pass3, however,

sometimes it's okay.

Hope I've helped you to find your footing.

Now get going and write, write, write--cuz it can be off-putting.

Writer's block. :(

Thanks, Missy...don't let any of the eggheads tell you how to write poetry...don't worry about rhyming or timing...it's whatever is unaccepted that will be the next market of joy for some poor Seussian...I love the rhyme, but freelance is fun too...it's wordplay, period...that's what counts.

Is it good? Well, if it isn't...edit, re-edit, rewrite, redo...throw it away or fix it, right?

Thanks for your comments...always enjoyed, loved and noted...sometimes quoted...even doted. :)

Yeah, poetry should be fun. I only disagree with the rhyming part. I am a big fan of rhyming. Dr. Seuss is a mentor of mine. lol.

When I took the writing course to write for children, I was always getting reprimanded by my professor for either rhyming or making up my own language. She stated it was not allowed in today's market of children's stories. However, I see it all the time still. Oh well, if it isn't fun, it isn't worth it for me. In that way, poetry is a perfect fit for me in the writing world.

This piece of yours is unique and no doubt very good to be picked for a network site. Congrats! :)

Yes humour is good. I wrote a similar poem called "Ode to Miss Muffet" a parody on the use of spell check.

Thanks, Jodah...some days humour is the best medicine. Depth can get over one's head...:)

Funny, but well done.
