Another Batch of Poems

I wasn’t sure if I was going to do a 14th selection of poems. It’s not that I no longer write them. I still wrote a lot of faith based poems. It‘s just, with so many oars in the water, get the cheap beach humor, I thought I needed to trim a few things from my workload.

However, the more I thought the more this little voice in my head told me to keep going. So here is my latest effort. I hope you enjoy them. Until the next time stay safe and keep your faith strong.

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. Hebrews 11:1-3

Be Careful

Be careful, be careful

So now I call out to you

Be careful, be careful

To follow the word

Of the Lord

The Lord searchers

Every heart

Knows if you truly mean

What you say

If you seek him

He’ll walk by your side

If you forsake him

He’ll turn and walk away

Be careful, be careful

So now i call out to you

Be careful, be careful

To follow the word

Of the lord

Be careful, be careful

The lord searchers

Every heart

Knows if you truly mean

What you say

If you seek him

He’ll walk by your side

If you forsake him

He’ll turn and walk away

Be careful, be careful

So now i call out to you

Be careful, be careful

To follow the word

Of the lord

Consider now

For the lord

Whom have you chosen

Check your heart

And see

God has done

What he says

He’s waiting for you

To do your part

So now i call out to you

Be careful, be careful

To follow the word

Of the lord

We’re All the Same

Small

Big

We’re all the same

In the eyes of God

Rich

Poor

We’re all the same

In the eyes of God

Red, yellow, orange

Black or white

We’re all the same

In the eyes of God

So maybe the way

To make things right

Is to see everyone around

Through God’s sight

Wings of Prayer

Close your eyes

Open your heart

Feel the cares

Of this world depart

As you lift your voice

To god above

And yield yourself

To the father’s love

Closer and closer

He’ll draw you near

Soon his soft voice

You will hear

Lift you voice higher and higher

On the wings of prayer

No matter who, no matter where

Lift you voice higher

On the wings of prayer

God does not like

To sit idly by

He wants to be involved

In your life

He wants to constantly

Hear from you

With prayer and praise and

Thanksgivings too

So lift you voice

In song and prayer

Lift your voice higher and higher

On the wings of prayer

Keepers of the Flame

On the day jesus was called home

The disciples stood around

Staring up at the sky

Waiting for him to come back down

Two angels came to calm them

Send them on their way

Telling them that jesus would return

the way he left, someday

Til then the keys of god’s kingdom

Are left in our fumbling hands

To carry out god’s work on earth

To tell other’s of his plan

We are

Keepers of the flame

Keepers of the flame

Fanning the fires of revival

Wherever we may go

Always telling others

What god wants them to know

There is so much work to do

We cannot be standin’ around

Waitin’ for our savior

To come back again

We are

Keepers of the flame

Keepers of the flame

Fanning the fires of revival

Wherever we may go

Always telling others

What god wants them to know

Takin’ his message to a dying world

Keepers of the flame

Jesus Saves

We are but visitors

Traveling through this land

Spreading our message

Whenever wherever we can

A meesage of hope

A message of love

A message that came

From god above

A message of freedom

All the days of your life

Freedom from sin

Freedom from strife

The message is simple

And also very plain

The message is this

Jesus saves

Jesus saves

Jesus saves

A gift came down

From god above

A gift of hope

A gift of love

A gift of freedom

All the days of your life

Freedom from the effects

Of sin and strife

The gift was expensive

But free to you

The gift is this

Jesus saves

Jesus saves

Jesus saves

God’s Love

I know that god loves me

More than i love myself

With a love that transforms me

So i see truth in life

I know that god loves me so deeply

he wants to take me home

To a place i’ve never been to

A place i’ve never known

from the moment i arrive there

I know that i will belong

Something in my heart will stir

A new song i’ve always known

In the place of god’ love

The place of god’s love

A place we don’t understand

Because we look at it

Through the eyes of sinful man

He is pleased to love us

Not because of what we’ve done

But because od the love he has

For jesus his son

He came down to the

Widerness

To offer us god’s grace

So that some day

We may see god face to face

In the place og god’s love

The Atlantic City Beach

The World

Feels the world has broken down

And can’t be fixed

But it’s just sinful man

Up to the same old tricks

Let me be me is the

New battle cry

Gotta take the church outta

The states, tell you why

Don’t wantto be told we’re sinners

By any bible preachin man

Cause then we won’t be free

To do what’s in our own plan

Something’s wrong in the

World today

I can tell you what it is

We’ve turned our backs

On god

No longer think we’re his

Kids are taught from day one

to achieve and aquire

And the only purpose in this life

Is to fill your own desires

Making millions

Is the new american dream

Don’t care how you get it

Don’t have to be clean

What about those who don’t have

But they still want to get

They set out to rob and steal

And take it from the rest

God is not metioned

Except in a negative tone

It seems the world is ready for god

To come back and claim his own

Something’s wrong in the

World today

I can tell you what it is

We’ve turned our backs on god

No longer think we’re his

Faith

What is faith?

Trusting the unseen

Does exist

Things hoped for

Will come into fruition

Yes, and so much more
