What is faith?

People put their faith in a lot of things, money, work, the stock market, other people and even in themselves. But what exactly is faith? The Bible in Hebrews 11:1 describes faith in this way, ““Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

We all hope for many things but it takes faith to believe and trust in something we cannot see or touch. Jesus once said, “if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can move mountains.” Now I don’t if He meant real or figurative mountains but with faith in God I know you can feel comfortable knowing someone is there for you at all times. Someone who can help you move the mountains blocking a truly rewarding.

Sure you may argue, “You can‘t see or hear God in the sense you can see and hear you earthly friends but faith lets us know He is there. All you need is a little faith. Imhe you enjoy this selection of faithful poems.

A Place In The World

Trying to find

Trying to find

A place in this world

A place in this world

Lived my whole life

Wandering, searching

For a place

In this world

A place to call my own

Tried a lot of things

Had a lot of jobs

But none of them felt right

None of them I loved

So I find myself now

In the twilight of years

Wondering, waiting

For my place, but I fear

As Time is growing short

As Time is winding down

My search will end soon

But my place won’t be found

Trying to find

Trying to find

A place in this world

A place in this world

How Much

How much time

Do you spend

Staring at Jesus

Staring at Jesus

Getting to know

The One who came

To save your soul

Five

Ten

Fifteen

Minutes each day

Or are you continually

Staring at Jesus

Making sure your heart

Doesn’t stray

Fix

Fix in life

What needs to be fixed

Before you know

It’s too late

Then what’s done

Is forever done

All finished

Your new home

Chosen for eternity

No changing your mind

Poor Man’s Story

Being a poor man

Has been my lot in life

From birth till death

from sun to sun

But I’m ok

With being a poor man

I may not be wealthy

I’m still having fun

You see life is rooted

Not in things

Life is in the moments

It’s in the joys

Which sing out

Go deep into the heart

It is for of those moments

I rejoice

So call me a poor man

If you will

It doesn’t bother me

My heart remains still

Cause I revel not in

All the material things

I revel in God’s treasures

They make my heart sing

Jesus Loves Me

People always ask me

Why would Jesus love me?

I’m a sinner

I’m a bad person

Can’t you see, can’t you see

There’s no way someone

Could truly love me

But the truth of the matter is this

A thing you might have missed

Jesus didn’t come for those who

Don’t think they’re one of the lost

He came for the ones who know

They need Him the most

The downtrodden

The forgotten ones

The ones who are poor of heart

Life’s neglected

Societies rejected

The ones who feel

They just don’t belong

The truth of the matter is this

A thing you might have missed

Jesus didn’t come for those who

Don’t think they’re one of the lost

He came for the ones who know

They need Him the most

God Is?

God is?, You ask

Here?

Yes, He is

Yes, He is

Always was

And always will be

Your refuge

He is

He was

He always will be

Your strength

He is

He was

He always will be

There when you call

There when you fall

There when you need

Help to stand up tall

God is, was

And always will be

There

Faith Needs to Be Exercised

Faith is not stagnant. It is free flowing and moving through every aspect of life. As such faith must be exercised in order to grow. Ephesians 6:16, says, “In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.” If you are to have greater faith you put your trust in God and be faithful in knowing what He says is true.

Are You Enough

People keep telling you

You’re not smart enough

You’re not tall enough

You’re not skinny enough

You’re not enough of the right look

You’re not cool enough

You’re not rich enough

You’re not outgoing enough

You’re not enough of an open book

Well don’t focus on the people

Who tell you you’re not enough

Instead focus on what you’re enough of

You’re enough of you to go around

You’re smart enough

You’re tall enough

You’re enough of the right size

You’re enough of the right look for you

You’re onouh of the right person

For God to call as His own

Choices, Changes

These choices, changes you make

Are not about what to do

If you’d look deeper you’d see

They’re really all about you

The sooner you understand this

The sooner your heart will change

And your life will move

In a totally different way

You will see more chances to do

What you are here to, love

The purpose of the soul is

To reveal love

To affirm love

To express love

To fulfill love

Not love as we feel it to be

Or love that is only temporary

But true eternal love

Which has no boundaries

No box

No strings attached

Love of the heart

True love that only god has

These choices, changes you make

Are not about what to do

If you’d look deeper you’d see

They’re really all about you

About the love that you’re

Missing from your heart

The love that gives the soul

The cahnce to what it is here

To, love
