Poems on Self-Love and Self-Respect
Self-Worth
I am ready
to be called
self-centered
or
selfish
But now
I will
think about
myself first
it is enough now
I can't ignore
myself more
I must
respect my
self-worth.
Acceptance
She loves
and accepts herself
with all her
imperfections
That acceptance
makes her perfect.
Pretense
It's enough now
You are not
ready to recognize
me in my dreams too
You have reached
the highest peak
of pretense.
Is there someone?
Is there someone...
who can see her beyond her beauty
who can value her intelligence too
who can read her mind
who can solve puzzles in her eyes
who can consider her opinions
who can give importance to her dreams
who can be patient to listen to her heart
who can be generous enough to let that little girl live in her heart
who can respect and admire her virtues
who can love her soul
and who can accept her whole existence with her flaws...?
I will
I haven't yet
achieved it
It doesn't
mean that
I don't
deserve it.
Beyond the Horizon
I am weaving
verses with
my eyes
I am painting
poetries in
the sky,
visualizing
my dream life
beyond the horizon.
Secret box
My heart is a secret box
It has been hiding
my unsaid emotions within
But all those emotions have been
frozen now
They have transformed my heart
into an ice cube tray
My eyes and my lips have been
struggling
Because I have tied a velvet ribbon
of smile on them
To prevent them from revealing and
melting
what has been frozen inside.
Ageless
My thoughts and dreams are young
and will always be.
Because I am an ageless soul.
