Poem: You're Only Fluff

Author:
poem-youre-only-fluff

You make me feel weak,

With your soft look,

But it doesn’t help,

When all you do is hook.

Don’t play innocent,

You don’t listen,

You hear with no ears,

Just want attention.

Gentle tease,

Tender touch,

Too superficial,

You're only fluff.

You give the cold shoulder,

My punches too soft,

No response,

You're only fluff.

I know that,

If I tear you apart,

You have no heart,

You’re only fluff.

In the end,

You’re still my pillow,

You got my back,

And I got yours.

I liked the cleaness and simplicity of your poem together with its sliding door's feel. Great read.

You have a way of looking at the most ordinary and see a depth of meaning in it.

Hahaha I see...:) Recently, I dreamt that I fell off a cliff at the beach and my imaginary lover who looked like an American Idol candidate looked at me neutrally as I was falling. X)

LOL only fluff... Years back I had a dream that I was eating a Giant marshmallow and when I woke up half my pillow was gone.
