Poem: What is Love

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

What is love is a short poem I wrote after bring asked how to describe love. It is a feeling that keeps her safe in a warm embrace. It is a journey meant for only two. If no one else understands it, it doesn't matter. The feelings of Love only needs to be understood by the two people involved.

"Avril Lavigne - Falling Fast"

What is Love

Love is a feeling of comfort

touching her every breath,

it keeps her safe from harm

inside it’s warm embrace.

It’s a sacred place

where only two can fit,

even when no one else’s eyes understand

the feelings from within.

That was an interesting piece, Brenda. Of course Love is whoever or whatever you want it to be. You exist and so the world does. It is your perception and yours alone. Expressed well.

I like the idea of love being like a warm embrace.

BRENDA ARLEDGE (author) from Washington Court House on February 25, 2021:

Misbah,

Thank you.

Yes, in love...in my opinion it is meant for only two.

I read your response about me taking Covid-19 vaccine. I had Moderna.

I am doing quite well, only a sore arm and a bit tired.

I hope you reconsider when it comes your time to take this vaccine.

We don't want to lose such a beautiful writer.

Take care.
