Poem: Touching Rainbows

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

"Touching Rainbows" is a poem about venturing off together after being secluded by Covid-19's grasp.

Wanting to feel the beauty of God's land touch us.

Even on the rainy days, his hand guides us to rainbows.

Touching Rainbows

As the gates fly open,

we race down the fairway

to beat the crowd,

before the doors slam shut.

Hoping to feel the long-awaited magic

touch our bones,

healing the emptiness

as we see the beauty of God's land.

Tears from heaven

on a sulky, rainy day,

guide us with his loving hands

to a destination full of rainbows.

A poem full of hope and promise. Rainbows carry such a deep meaning and are fascinating to look at. In the UK siblings of stillborn and babies who die very young are called rainbow children.
