Poem: Lost Time

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

"Lost Time" is a poem about how a couple can feel distance growing between them, but despite life's pauses the hands on the clock moves forward.

They wait for that perfect moment like when the tide washes ashore and hesitates just a moment.

It is there that they find the missing pieces of their love.

"Time Doesn't" by Cory Young

Lost Time

Distance stands between us
like an ocean surrounding an island,
hands on the clock silently tick forward
not stopping for life's pauses.

Our thoughts wait for the moment,
when the tide washes ashore,
discovering lost feelings
as the seconds appear to hesitate,
finding missing pieces of time.

All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.
