Poem: Taking Stock of Life

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

Taking stock of life is about one understanding the roadblocks in her way. She knows what she can accomplish and knows she has the wisdom to succeed. She gives herself peace with forgiveness as she mends broken fences. She accepts each new day turning the page starting a new chapter in life.

Taking Stock of Life

In this new year, she clearly sees
the roadblocks tormenting her life,
the accomplishments she can achieve,
knowing she has the wisdom to make a difference.

With a forgiving heart
she mends broken fences,
allowing her mind to discover
a rainbow of peace.

Accepting each new day
purifying her heart from evil,
showing the world
she can turn the page
to start a new chapter.

Chrish,

Thank you.

You are right! We do always find a way to turn that page and start writing a new chapter in our lives.

Sometimes it seems impossible..but we eventually get there.

Take care & have a great day.

Thanks for sharing your positive thoughts through this poem.

I believe that it’s important to forgive and forget(the unpleasant experiences), in order to move on in life. One must clear our head of negative thoughts to be progressive.

Each day is full of new possibilities and new hopes. Great message in your poem, as we start the new year.

Thanks for sharing.

Brenda,

You have covered so much Spirituality in this short piece! Forgiveness, wisdom, acceptance with a contrite Heart and renewal -which you have called 'starting a new chapter'.

The soul moves forward, but in a spiral, filtering the info … the process. It can seem like starting over, but it is really a slow but steady progression of the Light. An exquisitely beautiful piece!
