Poem-Sweet Memories of Your Childhood Come Back to Me Again-Response to Brenda Arledge ‘s Word Prompt “Memories”
I love poetry. I am a lifestyle enthusiast and like to write articles and poems on lifestyle changes that benefit people.
Children always look up to their parents as role models and seek their advice on important matters, no matter how old they are. It is the dearest wish of every parent that their children remember them with love and respect when they are gone.
The relationship we have with our children is very valuable. The joy of parenthood is unequalled. Children bring purpose and meaning in our life and enrich our lives in innumerable ways. Given the uncertainty of life, every parent needs to tell his or her children how much they love them and what they mean to them when there is ample time to do so. It is never too late to praise them for their achievements and to let them know how proud you are of them.
The depth of the love of parents for their children cannot be measured. It is like no other relationship. It exceeds concern for life itself. The love of a parent for a child is continuous and transcends heartbreak and disappointment.

Word Prompt Week 17-"Memories"
We welcome back our dear friend and great poet Brenda, after a short break. She has given us the word prompt ‘Memories’ this week. This is my response to the word prompt and I hope Brenda and my other HubPages friends like it.
The Poem is About
In this poem the mother fills her heart with the childhood memories of her children, now that the children have grown up and have a life of their own. She relives those memories when she sees her grandchild. She knows that her children love the parents dearly and does not want them to feel sad when they are not around but to have happy memories of the time they spent together.
Sweet Memories of your childhood
float through the hills and valleys
Of my mind's landscape.
It seems like only yesterday
the laughter of tiny tots
Filled our home.
There is no friendship, no love, like that of the parent for the child.
— Henry Ward Beecher
Time flies fast, now you are all grown
I know you have much to do
Targets to achieve, goals to reach.
Memories of your childhood
Come back to me again
When I see your little girl.
She is a replica of you
We feel so lucky to have her
And luckier still to have you,
My dear children.
I know you love us and care for us
And never spend a day
Without thinking about us.
One of the greatest titles in the world is parent, and one of the biggest blessings in the world is to have parents to call mom and dad.
— Jim DeMint
When our memories flood your mind
And the sun has set for us
Do not feel sad, do not cry.
Remember that we love you the most
And want you to have happy memories
And know that our life with you was the best life ever.
