Poem: Sunshine Kisses

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

Sunshine kisses is a about sunshine bringing life to every dormant blade of grass. It warms the soil bringing life to crocuses, hyacinths, and tulips to alert us of Spring. Songbirds wake us in the morning as little critters play. It puts joy in our hearts giving us energy to start another day.

"Sunshine Kisses"

Sunshine kisses the dew drops
in the wee hours of the morning,
bringing life
to every dormant blade of grass.

Warming the barren soil
sprouting beautiful colors,
like crocuses, tulips, and hyacinths,
alerting us of Spring.

Soothing music from the song birds
wake us in the morning,
with little critters
like the grey squirrel
coming out to play.

Reflecting a joy
within our hearts,
giving us new energy
to start another day.

Crocus, Hyacinth, and Tulips
