Son of Man

Breaking out of my misery

trusting someone else's timing

bracing for impact,

I wonder when it will be my time

the glory for today,

it doesn't belong to me

watch as He flows into focus,

the Son of Man,

He is the one who holds my heart

He gives me water of life

and bread full of mercy.

Skip a Beat

Am I really all I know?

Left to survive on my own,

my pain I never seem to outgrow

I live in the trees,

swinging from the limbs

and bleeding on the leaves

obviously, I'm not too serious

this hour tracks my lies

grinning in defeat;

the overwhelming sense of dread

with pride I always coceit

making nothing out of something,

my heart still palpitates

listen as it tends to skip a beat

Jesus finds me in my sorrows,

blessing my life

and loving me so.
