Poem: She Wants To Freeze Time

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

She wants to freeze time is a poem about a woman who sees fireworks each time he holds her close. She no longer feels broken. He makes her feel complete. She wants to make time stop. She wants to freeze this moment in time with his hand holding hers.

She Wants to Freeze Time

Like on the fourth of July,
each moment he holds her close
she sees fireworks
light up the night.

She is no longer broken
like a puzzle no one can solve,
he makes her feel complete
like she is on top of the world.

She wants to stop time,
to freeze this moment
with his hand holding hers,
hearing the beautiful song
singing to her heart forever.

I wish I could freeze this moment, right here, right now and live in it forever.

Kari,

I do not believe women need a man to feel complete, but sure enough those are the words i wrote down.

I should have put...give this feeling too or something to that nature.

Women do no need a man to feel complete.

As for wanting to freeze time...she knows it feels like the perfect moment and it will not last. So she wants to treasure it while she can.

Thanks for reading.

We women should not need a man to feel complete, but some of us do, and, having found him, feel complete. I feel bittersweet reading this poem. And happy she has a moment to freeze in her mind.

Good and romantic poem. She will need the dagger from the sands of time.

I like the way she would like to freeze time to hold on to happy moments. Better still, she can be compassionate and everything falls into line. Great piece of poetry, Brenda!
