Poem: She Cannot Hold On

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

"Hello Love Goodbye" by To Be Juliet's Secret

Her heart is ripping into pieces,
no matter how hard she tries
she cannot hold on any longer,
she must let go of this fiery embrace.

She stares at their pictures
a love story so strong,
remembering each magical moment
knowing he cannot be replaced.

He whispers let it go,
chill…all is fine,
but her tears understand
what her heart cannot comprehend.

He promises she will see
if she takes this leap of faith,
except she is no where near okay
knowing the beautiful moments are gone.

She is not happy with whispers
of the way their life used to be,
her heart aches with pain
realizing it is only him
that can live this way.

Very much like the one I just read here a few moments ago. Makes it more real … more poignant, but exquisitely done.
