Poem: Salvation

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

Salvation is a poem about her feeling despair like the world is crushing down upon her but God comforts her soul. When she feels overwhelmed like she is losing her sanity he eases her fears. This poem is inspired by the Coronavirus and the worries we each share.

"Salvation" by Skillet

When she's in despair,
with the weight of the world crushing down upon her,
he comforts her soul,
with the smallest joys
giving her hope for tomorrow.

When she's in need,
feeling overwhelmed, like she's losing her sanity,
he finds a way to ease her fears,
letting her know
he guides her steps.

A man's heart plans his way,

but the Lord directs his steps.

— Proverbs 16:9
