Poem: Response "Word Prompts Help Creativity ~week 25" ~ "Blue Is Eternal"; "Misery Disappears"&"Painting Her Blue Away"

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

Response "Word Prompts Help Creativity ~Week 25" ~ "Blue is Eternal"; "Misery Disappears"&"Painting Her Blue Away" is my response my muse came up with for the word prompt for Week 25.

It includes three poems about the color blue.

I hope you enjoy them.

Blue Is Eternal

Belief in God

Long-awaited moments

Ultimately come to light

Eternity is promised.

And everything burned in blue, everything a star.

Misery Disappears

Sadness weeps through her baby blues,

a cloudless blue sky catches her eye,

a calmness pours over her soul.

A spark of hope shines,

erasing the pain,

her feet walk a happy stride.

Misery is lost,

faith embraces her spirit,

a new moment comes to light.

"Keith Urban ~ Blue Ain't You're Color"

Poem " Painting Her Blue Away Summary"

This poem was written by listening to the song:

"Blue Aint You're Color" by Keith Urban.

(Listed above)

I hope you enjoy it.

Painting Her Blue Away

As she dances alone

missing a foolish guy who tormented her angel heart,

the color blue is written across her face.

As she watches moments on the clock tick,

he knows the colors of a rainbow

deserve her innocent glow,

not the fragments of gloom

lingering dark within her soul.

He reaches out painting a smile on her face,

releasing the agony from her heart,

not wanting an instant prize.

He teaches her to erase her pain

and sadness with laughter,

turning her frown upside down.

If you're feeling blue -

Try painting yourself a different color.

I am still trying to coax my muse to come up with something. But in the meantime, I am enjoying myself reading the wonderful creations of my fellow hubbers. Thanks for sharing Brenda.

Lovely writing, Brenda. Such beautiful thoughts expressed with such feeling. Who has not looked at the sky and felt comforted by its lovely shade of blue. And we can change our mood to happy if we look at life differently and be filled with a sense of awe for the wondrous sky above us.

Your word prompts have gained quite a following. This is what it was like long ago on HP. Writers challenging other writers, prompts and suggestions and contests, everyone taking part, everyone encouraging each other. Sigh!

Miebakagh Fiberesima from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, NIGERIA. on August 14, 2021:

Brenda, all three poems a soulish delight. Thanks.

manatita44 from london on August 14, 2021:

Sweettt!! As I usually say. A charming and fabulous piece, Brenda. Great diversity and colours.

You took in the esoteric meaning with your Acrostic and then used some great photos, as you slowly weaved in the human side of love. I loved that line: 'missing a foolish guy who tormented her angel heart.' Put a smile on my cheeks. Ha-ha. Excellent!

Misbah Sheikh from The World of Poets on August 14, 2021:

A very Beautiful response to the word prompt, Bredz. I enjoyed reading all of your poems. The acrostic one is so nice saying "Eternity is promised". I also loved the quote by Pablo Neruda. In your poem Misery Disappears there is so much hope and beauty. Thanks a lot for sharing. Take care and stay happy and healthy.

Sending you Hugs and Blessings
