God's Plan

Her feet stumble across many pathways that break her heart.

but the lessons that come back

are worth the reason.

For each detour takes her closer

to the route where God

wants her footsteps to walk.

A place far better

than her imagination can dream

where her life will soar

until he calls her home.

A String Of Letters

Twenty six letters of the English Alphabet

teach us a valuable lesson

to form words to speak, read or write.

Just like alphabet soup

helps a child to remember

the importance of each letter

with silly antics.

Actions come to play

as we greet one another with spoken word

teaching us a string of letters

as we learn a lesson along life’s journey.

Never realizing the importance

of each symbol

as we speak.

No regrets in life.

Just lessons learned.

Flip The Coin ~acrostic poem

At any given moment

Life tosses a coin

Preparing us for new journey

Helping us along the way

Allowing us to

Beckon a lesson

Embracing our hearts

Towards a new destination.

Lesson Lost

We call lessons

a point of wisdom

when they carry us through another day.

But our thoughts are left confused

when the mirror reflects a journey

we didn’t hope for in our heart.

We thought life was a simple journey

until we are left alone heartbroken

wondering which way to turn.

Stranded alone

with our heart bleeding

not understanding the spoken words.

Psychology Says

When holding on to something,

that is mentally destroying you then letting it go is the only solution.

Lora

Thank you.

Lessons are sometimes hard to learn & accept, but God does have a plan.

We have to let him guide our way.

Have a great day.

I enjoyed the emotional depth of your poems, Brenda. Sometimes learning lessons can be painful but sometimes it is unavoidable. I think God has a plan for each of us as you have expressed so well in your poem.

Misbah

Thank you.

You, Bill & Manatita are very keen observers.

I'm glad my muse was able to write these poems in such a manner.

That one piece is so true. You must let go of something if it is destroying you mentally, but the trick is not to let it destroy you when you let it go.

Take care gal. It's always lovely to hear from you.

Wonderful job with all the poems, Bredz. I too agree with Manatita and Mr. Bill there was some very interesting and serious philosophy in there. And I truly enjoyed each one of them. I like the ending quote that Psychology Says, “When holding on to something, that is mentally destroying you then letting it go is the only solution.”

Thanks a lot for sharing these wonderful and thought provoking poems. God bless you. Take care and enjoy
