I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.
"Rainbow Creations" is my response for Word Prompts Help Creativity ~ Week 38 (Rainbows).
I had something else in mind, but as usual my muse wasn't quite ready to conjure those words. I'm certain that version will pen itself later.
In this one, I write about how rainbows affect us. This feeling seems to be universal.
In the last poem, I had a bit of fun creating a rainbow for myself.

Rainbows ~ Acrostic Poem
Radiant pastel colors
Appear across the sky
In the moments after a rain
Our eyes adore
Winning over our hearts
Soothing our inner souls.
She watches the dark rain clouds dissolve,
creating a picture-perfect painting
in a newly formed, clear blue sky,
leaving behind a rainbow of colors
that touches the ends of the earth
with a circle of love
spanning across the universe,
affecting everyone who beholds its glory
giving him a sense of hope.
I’ve got myself a personal rainbow,
for moments when sadness
taps at the corner of my heart,
to help me to smile through the storm.
Times when I can’t wait for an optical illusion
to magically appear in the sky,
reminding me a better tomorrow
is on the horizon.
But it drives my kitties wild
as they chase the multicolored lights,
up and down wall
then back across the floor,
when I shine my flashlight
over a simple compact disc.
An optimist sees rainbows when there is rain.
