Poem: Race to Heaven

My name is Candice Ballinger and I am a Christian woman who loves Jesus and his word.

Race to Heaven

Engulf me in your promises

wrap me in your grace,

help push me past the finish line

I'm running my life's marathon

yes Lord, indeed it is a heavenly race,

to meet you in the clouds

caught up in the blink of an eye,

you won't hear me ask why?

My peace in the kingdom is forever

my name is written in that book,

for you called upon me;

oh Lord, so I had to come and take a look

I see angels fighting demons

and demons fighting Jesus,

but the Lord always wins

and by that, the ground crackled

and shook.
