Poem: Patience Virtues
I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.
Article Summary
"Patience Virtues" is a collection of poems I've written for the word prompt from "Word Prompts Help Creativity ~ Week 44 (Patience)."
Patience is a great moral value if you can keep it in check.
It's such a waste of time to lose self-control and become impatient. After all, God is the one in control.

Patience ~ Acrostic Poem
Power to handle delays
Ability to wait it out
Taking time to be creative
Inking a few words out
Entertaining myself
Not letting my time be idle
Complaining is such a waste
Enduring each tedious moment.
Losing My Patience
I think I can control it
until I sense stupidity breathing down my neck,
then all bets are off,
as sparks inside ignite.
I can feel my veins pulsating,
sweat pouring off my brow,
my fists tightly quench,
absurdities linger beneath my breath.
My tolerances are wearing thin,
I seem a bit off guard,
because usually I’m quite tolerant,
waiting in line can’t even make me squirm
and a traffic jam,
is just a minor delay,
all part of God’s big plan.
But today my blood is boiling
as I sit in this tiny, jammed packed room
listening to others hack & sneeze,
like I’m a sitting duck
waiting to catch Covid-19.
No Worries
Like a butterfly
peacefully enjoying the fragrances
of each beautiful flower,
I touch each precious moment
without worry or concern.
Nothing rains on my parade
for God is in control, not me,
so, if I am delayed
it's how it’s meant to be.
Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.
