Poem: Only His Touch

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Only His Touch

She is free as a bird
no cage locking her inside,
but her heart is chained to only one
with no desire to feel the touch of another man.

She understands the truth her heart speaks
for only he can offer this unusual magic,
only his kiss can sweep her off her feet,
no one else has this strong effect
on her emotions.

Just one thought of his touch,
the way his lips brush up against hers,
the way she melts when his arms
wrap tightly around her body,
has her hypnotized
beyond the point of no return.

Brenda, beautiful verses of love ! What more one needs than getting immersed in this kind of relationship.

BRENDA ARLEDGE (author) from Washington Court House on January 21, 2020:

Ms. Dora,

I guess the concept of being chained is because she does not want her heart to feel free. She wants to feel her heart connected to only him.

She is definitely hypnotized. She cannot stop the feeling.

Thanks for reading.

Dora Weithers from The Caribbean on January 21, 2020:

I think it's great to feel such a strong connection but why the concept of a heart being chained? She might be really hypnotized if she still feels free. Oh well? She doesn't complain.

Manatita44,

In this poem she lives alone.

These are her feelings. She has no desire for another man so I guess in her heart he is a bit special.

Thanks for reading.

Ruby,

She doesn't know if it is indeed love but she cannot stop the feeling.

It is part of her being so she must continue.

Thanks for reading.
