Poem: Oldness Of Time

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Oldness of time
Molded us together
Making light of each moment
We shared.

The seasons changed us
Through the years
No longer lovers
But best friends
Each day the same
Nothing unique or special
Just a typical day.

Forever to be
Crumbled in front of my eyes
Hitting me like a brick wall
Tears of despair
I awoke one day
Uprooting our sanctuary
Leaving you behind.

My mind in turmoil
Fearing the loss of each minute
As the clock silently counts down
This life is too short
I must control my Destiny
Making the most
Of each moment
Discovering my dreams
Before they slip far away.
