She's not ready to move forward.

She's not sure her head is up to the task so she suffers in silence.

No one can tell she is in agonizing pain. She hides it well.

She's not amused is about men sending silly messages to her phone. She will not reply for she is a lady. She knows what she wants and refuses to play games. She wants something real not pretend. She has a dream to share with only one man - her soulmate. Nothing else will come close.

She puts on a mask is about a woman who cannot stand to sit in the silence of the walls surrounding her with memories putting tears in her eyes. She grabs her keys and goes for a drive. She stops at a place where no one knows her name. She puts on her mask hiding her pain. Pretending she is fine.

Not man enough is about a man who is afraid when the one he loves becomes ill. He fears her dying and feels like he is trapped inside a cage with no way out. He turns into someone she doesn't recognize with a heart full of anger. He leaves them stranded with no way back into each other's arms.

Stop lying - She's not naive is about a woman feeling rage because she has been lied to by someone thinking she is naive, a person too sweet hear the honest truth. She wants an instant makeover which says, " Don't Mess With Me". Her heart aches from not receiving the basic level of respect .

Not willing to let go is a poem about wishing time could spin in reverse. She holds on tight, pleaing with the universe to leave everything the way it is. Her heart bleeds when she sees herself in the mirror standing all alone. She wants to wake up from this nightmare starting the day over.

"Splinters" is a poem about her love fades away when she listens to him speak. He doesn't understand why she's upset. He remains quiet, hoping she will forget in a moment, but she observes his actions and realizes he lives in his past. He feels no desire to move forward to the future.
