Poem: No Room

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

"No Room" is a poem about dealing with a narcissist.

He has no room for anyone but himself and his own feelings.

His uncaring words break those who care, making them feel broken.

"Nicholas Hamilton ~ Savs - No Room"

No Room

He tosses crumbs,

with no ounce of regret

flowing through his veins,

thinking she will follow.

As she listens to his uncaring words,

ghostly images spook her,

seeing no wiggle room

adjusted for her presence.

Like a bird

falling from a tree,

her wings break along the way,

finding no compromise

against a stone wall.

If you hold onto the negative, there is no room for the positive to come into your life.

Thank you.

They hide narcissism so well, that most people have absolutely no idea.

Only those closest to them will ever know.

Have a great weekend.

Thank you.

It is too bad she suffers in silence but many do.

Others cannot phathom the thought of the narcissist really being that cold...they believe he is a kind person.

So she is left to suffer alone.

Take care.

Thank you.

I'm glad you liked it, even if it is a bit sad.

A relationship with a narcissist is heartbreaking.

I don't know if I'm going to feel sorry for them 'the narcissist' or what

All I know is that it isn't their choice to be like that. It's just heart breaking for those who wants or fall in love with them. I so love by how you painted the message Ms Brenda :)

Sending I love yous with all my heart.......

Rosina S Khan on August 21, 2021:

You paint the picture of a narcissist very well- all heartless and selfish. It's too bad she suffers in silence. Rather pathetic. Well-woven words create the right imagery in your poem. Excellent! Thanks for sharing, Brenda.

Stone walls indeed.

Narcissist are like that. Very cold- hearted people. Both men and women. Depicted well.

Nice sentiments in your poem. Love these lines— ‘I have no room for negative people in my life.’

Thank you for sharing another expressive poem!

This poem sure does paint a picture of suffering for the woman trying to have a relationship with the narcissist.

I like the poem, the videos and pictures, Brenda.
