Emotion of Laughter (acrostic poem)
Lost in joy
Absorbed with happiness
Undeniably losing control of my emotions
Genuinely smiling from ear to ear
Happening without notice
Tailor-made for the moment
Easily affecting my body
Refreshing my soul.
Laughter Is The Best Medicine
Gloominess lurks within,
darkness surrounds her soul,
no sunlight peeks
in this depth of hell
that keeps her captive.
She tosses back a cold one
to bury sorrows
as memories plague her thoughts,
when an unkept man, with baggy clothes
speaks to her
like he’s never met a stranger.
He talks of life
like he’s been around a day or two,
spinning his words in a comical way
as he looks at her saying,
“Chin up Buttercup.
You’re boobs aren’t that important.
Let him trip over his own two feet.”
Suddenly she cracks a smile
bursting with laughter,
she sees a glimmer of light
as her soul gains a new perspective.
Laughter is the brush that sweeps away the cobwebs of your heart.

Kitty Laughs
I swear my kitty’s smiling
wearing a grin
on her face,
making me wonder if she’s happy
or if she’s just laughing at me.
As her paws make biscuits on the blanket,
I’m sure my googly eyes and baby talk
makes her wonder
if I've been outside in the sun too long,
since I’m acting a bit like a crazy lady.
But she's my best bud
no matter what I do,
so if she wants to giggle at me,
it’s fine,
cause her playful ways make me chuckle too.
Your house will always be blessed with love, laughter, and friendship if you have a cat.
