Poem: Missing Him

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

"More Than I Can Say" by Leo Sayer

poem-missing-him

"Missing Him"

She misses him each moment
loving him more than she can say,
with the pain sinking deeper
hiding her feelings away.

She wonders if he misses her,
if he thinks of her at all,
or is she’s just memory
he doesn’t recall.

She drowns herself in a sea of tears
each night when she’s alone,
wondering if he knows
how broken she feels.

Crezyl,

I am delighted my poem could take you on a journey of your own.

Yes, if one could only know his thoughts...does he think of you at all...I am sure he does but will not admit it outloud.

Thanks for stopping by to see me.

Thank you John.

As usual, I only seem to write a few words.

I guess that is just my way.

Glad you liked the opening video too.

Crezyl from Philippines on December 14, 2019:

Brenda, your poem brought me back to my first love. I wonder.... I really wonder of what am I today to him.

John Hansen from Queensland Australia on December 14, 2019:

You said it all in just a few words, Brenda. It is very sad if love is one-sided or not returned. Even if you just don't know how the other feels. What a great song to open with, Leo Sayer's "More Than I Can Say."

Lorna Lamon on December 14, 2019:

You always manage to weave a wonderful array of feelings within your poems Brenda. Beautiful and poignant.
