Poem: Love's Imprint

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

Love's Imprint is a poem about how her life changes the moment she meets him. She feels a love that exist only in fairytales as he keeps her safe from the storms. She wakes up with a tune playing in her soul thankful he crossed her path.

Love's Imprint

The pages of her life seem boring,

lacking any sense of color,

until he wraps his arms around her

bringing music to her world.

She sees happiness glowing

from the sparkle of his eyes,

feeling a sense of love

that only exists in fairytales.

Like a lighthouse

he shelters her

from the storms,

giving her courage

to follow her dreams.

She wakes up each morning

with a smile, full of enthusiasm,

listening to a tune playing in her soul,

thankful his footsteps

crossed her path.

Are you a crayon?

Cause you bring color into my life.

Peggy,

Yes, I'm afraid I am.

My boyfriend says I get mushy.

His problem..not mine.

Thank you for the compliment.

Have a great evening.

Clive,

Thank you.

Love feels beautiful in the beginning with that imprint.

If the compassion is there the imprint can last a lifetime.

Nice to see you. Take care.

I read your poem. It is lovely, but I cannot find it in the feed.
