Poem: Love Vanished in a Lie

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

Love vanished in a lie is a poem about how lies destroy the deep feeling of love one has for another. Words seem meaningless. One's actions speak louder. Time will tell if there is enough love remaining to withstand any form of love.

"Don't Lie To Me" by Barbara Streisand

Love Vanished in a Lie

Embodying love
once heartfelt,
vanish in a lie.

Deep feelings
no longer strong,
hidden within a broken heart.

Meaningless words
not worthy of time,
observing actions
speaking louder than truth.

Time only knows
if the remaining love
will be enough.

Love can vanish in a lie

Dream On,

I love the way you describe what you want with your words like a simple slow ball right over home plate...that is awesome.

This is something that happened awhile back but still dealing with in the present day with the lie trying to convince me it was a mistake.

I am delighted you enjoy reading my work.

I am quite the dreamer.

Enjoy your life. I hope you know how to catch curve balls.

DREAM ON on January 16, 2020:

I think everyone has experienced your pain. You know how to dig into the gut without even throwing a punch. Your words are real. Is this a thought from your past or something you are going through? I wish you the best and hope it all works out. Life keeps throwing me curve balls when all I want is a simple slow ball right over the plate. So I can connect and knock it out of the park. What I can't do in real life I tend to dream. Thank you for sharing. I enjoy your work. Keep writing and keep pushing those hot buttons.
