Poem: Longing to Feel

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper - "Shallow" (lyrics) ( A Star is Born Soundtrack)

poem-longing-to-feel

She yearns for a feeling
she knew long ago,
of a man's desire
to want only her.

A tender, carefree love
with no hidden distractions
in his heart,
having no need for other’s advice.

Embracing her completely
without normal code,
longing for intense excitement
between two souls.

A beautiful poem Brenda which made me think of soulmates. The music you chose by Passenger is perfect for the piece and is a favourite of mine. Just lovely.
