Poem: Illusion of Friendship
I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.
Poem Summary
Illusions of friendship is a poem about how our friendships need tending to just like the flowers in the Spring. If there is a problem you should acknowledge it. Don't try muddling through with no resolve. Use open communication and honesty.
There is only one thing better than making a new friend, and that is keeping an old one.
— Elmer G. Letterman
Illusions of Friendship
Like a mouse taunting a cat
emotions hang on a string,
wanting to solve this maze
without hurt,
hoping distant words
speak loud in your heart.
When a flower grows in Spring,
tending to deadheads
promotes new growth,
friendship must be seasoned,
illusions left behind,
renewing strength
through communication
creates a strong bond.
A Sweet Friendship
refreshes the soul
