Poem: I Love How You...

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

I love how you...is about how he acts like a true gentleman. Like a breathe of fresh air after a rain when he insists she relax. He pays attention, making each detail worthy. He boast praises letting their love shine. He understands they are family.

"Gentleman" by Will Jay

"I Love How You..."

I love that you are a true gentleman,
a little “old school",
opening doors,
giving me a big hug
with a gentle kiss
for no reason at all.

Like a breath of fresh air after a rain,
when you insist I relax
doing nothing at all,
clearing my mind
to enjoy the moment.

I love how you pay attention
making each detail worthy,
being proud of yourself,
giving your all.

I love hearing you boast praises,
letting your love shine
for all to see,
understanding we are family,
You and Me.

You deserve a love that is willing to risk everything for you.

Thanks.

I think we all do dream.

Those kind are few and far between these days, but there are a few charmers left.

I love someone who has manners.

Have a great day.

This is a beautiful poem Brenda. Don't we all dream of such a man with the old school charm. It feels nice to be looked after and genuinely cared for. Take care. Blessings.

What a beautiful poem, Brenda! I can identify with every word of it. I have someone of 'the old school'!
