Poem: I Don't Play Life's Games

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

I don't play life's games is a poem about when one is tired of the rat race and refuses to play along with life's games. Living life in one's own little world taking life in stride. No longer letting anything bobble his head.

I Don't Play Life's Games

Life is complicated with twists and turns,

but I refuse to play life’s games anymore,

for it’s too tiring to compete

for unjust moments

that last only a second.

I’ll take each day in stride

with no worries,

no more people to please,

just me, myself, and I

in my own little world.

It’s safer here

with less strain on my brain,

than contending with the rat race

that bobbles my head.

Thank you.

Today is already proving to be such a day, but all we turn out fine.

Have a great day.

Sometimes we have to take a step back from the day-to-day activities to realize what is most important in life.
