Poem: Hope Renewed

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

"You Found Me" by Kelly Clarkson

poem-hope-renewed

She is drifting through life
taking each day as it comes,
not looking for anyone
to change the scenery.

Dragging herself through each endless moment
believing her heart is content,
living her life the same
day after day.

With a smile
and a few precious words
he makes her take notice
of a dream she once held in her heart.

Magic weaves in and out of her thoughts,
nothing can erase the vision
dancing endlessly in her mind,
hoping it is possible
to touch her dream once more.

Conscious Dreamer,

I love your idea that dreams are like fire lighting our path to our destination.

I appreciate you stopping by to read my work.

Thank you.

Dreams are like fire for lightning our path towards our destination. So we should never give up on dreams. Very interesting poem.

Kari,

I know the feeling but one must look deep inside before jumping to the other side.

All dreams can be renewed but the route one takes to get there is what is important.

They say we only live once...so make it the way you want too...without regrets.

Thanks for reading. May your heart find all it truly desires.

Your poem leaves me with a wistful feeling. I too wonder if the dream can renew, as I live "believing [my] her heart is content".
