Poem: Heal Her Heart

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

"Your Heart Will Heal" by Trent Shelton

"Heal Her Heart"

Take away the crushing pain
bleeding inside her heart,
breathe new life it’s way
before the morning sunrise.

Teach her weary heart
to trust again,
knocking down the walls
that keep her prisoner.

Let her heart
feel the tenderness of love,
feeling alive one more time
before death knocks upon the door.

For some reason this brought up the line, ' My heart will go on. ' Healing one's heart is a process that takes time, but can happen. Beautiful!

I can't imagine life without love...life without trust....it's a foreign concept to me, and yet a reality for so many. So sad....so sad!
