Poem: God's Plan for Our Footsteps to Cross

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

God's plan for our footsteps to cross is a poem about her sitting alone reminiscing about a past love. She plays their moments back in her mind like an old movie. She knows it was God's plan. A lesson to learn to carry with their heavy hearts as they continue with life's journey.

God's Plan For Our Footsteps To Cross

Thoughts flash into focus
of their passionate love,
as she sits alone feeling the heartbreak.

Watching flash backs
play in her mind
like a scene from an old movie,
when a romantic partner dies,
understanding beyond belief
those unique moments
are behind them.

Undeniably, God’s plan
for their footsteps
to cross paths,
regardless of the heartache left behind.

Creating a learning experience
to carry inside their heavy hearts
as they finish this journey of life.

Thank you Chitrangada Sharan. I am so glad you enjoyed reading this poem. Yes! God is the one in control, but we so often forget.

Beautifully expressed.

Life, as a journey, is pre-planned by the Almighty. It’s us, who don’t know about this. But if we believe that whatever happens in our life’s journey is according to his wishes and everything will eventually be good, things become easier for us.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful poem. I enjoyed going through.
