Poem: God Answers

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

God answers is a poem about her speaking words to heaven looking up at the night sky. She feels an answer overcome her telling her not to despair. God guides her each step of the way. He has his arms around her.

"I Am Not Alone - by Kari Jobe"

God Answers

Her weeping eyes

stare at the flashing seqins in the night sky,

tossing words into the cold, brisk air

hoping angels guide them

to the almighty in heaven.

Wondering why her footsteps

walk this path,

when her heart aches

watching the flower she is watering

have no bloom.

In the stillness of the night

words beam down upon her soul,

“Don't cry in despair,

for God smiles

preparing a place in his kingdom

for you to live an everlasting life.

When you greet each moment with a pure heart,

full of righteous nature

to help his children,

God wraps his arms around you,

guiding your steps along the way

helping your feet to cross another day.”

Jason,

Thank you.

Sorry for the late reply but your comment was lurking in my spam folder.

God is just waiting for us to listen to him.

He is in control, but so many times we try to solve issues by ourselves.

Trusting in God is the key, but it is not easy to remember...especially when our efforts do mot bring the change we are looking for in life.

It's hard to accept why our footsteps must walk some paths, but we must trust God.

Have a great day.

This indeed a reminder that God is just around in the corner, waiting for us to call Him or somehow waiting for us to listen with the stillness of our hearts to his comforting words. That he is just in control and we should trust in His ways.

Chitrangada,

Thank you for your kind words.

Sometimes I think we need a reminder to let God take control.

He is definitely there walking with us.

Have a terrific day.

Beautiful and uplifting poem.

We have to have unshaken faith in God. As they say, do your best, and leave the rest ( to Him).

Thank you for sharing another wonderful poem.

Nithya,

I believe God does answer our prayers, but sometimes we are set on the outcome we desire and don't realize he has answered them already.

They say his plan is far greater than ours.

Thanks for stopping by...it's always good to see you.

Take care.

A beautiful heartfelt poem, God answers prayers and does what is good for us but I guess we take time for us to realize.

Peggy,

I really do appreciate your kind words.

God does watch over us & answer our prayers.

Sometimes we don't get the answers we want, but we need to trust he knows what is best for us.

Grab hold of each moment & enjoy.

This poem is another lovely one from you. I love your idea of the stars in the sky looking like sequins. Prayers may not be answered in the manner we think best, but God watches over us and knows what is best.

Nell Rose from England on January 21, 2021:

That was a lovely poem! And one we all need at the moment.

Thank you for such kindness.

It is always best to focus on the positive side of things but it is difficult to do when we are faced with struggles.

Take care & have a great day.

Another beautiful piece of work. I can't resist saying BRAVO!!

"watching the flower she is watering

have no bloom."

It is really an eye-catching line.

Brilliant Effort. Totally coming from a sincere and loyal heart.

Much Appreciated.

yes, of course, God Listens to our prayers and for sure only He is the one who is listening, only He is the one who cares. Only he is the one who blesses us, loves us unconditionally, cares for us, safeguard us, protect us from everything that can harm us.

it's only God, who is always there for us to hold to protect.

Pamela,

Thank you.

Learning to know your prayer is answered is a tough one.

We sometimes don't want the answers we receive.

I'm glad you enjoyed the video also.

Thank you for such kind words about my work.

I appreciate it very much.

Have a great day.

BRENDA ARLEDGE (author) from Washington Court House on January 21, 2021:

Rosina,

Thank you.

I can always use hugs and appreciate them.

Sending words to God is something I do on a daily basis.

I do not believe I could make it on my own. He helps keep my feet planted firmly on the ground.

Take care & have a great day today.
