Poem: Glory

My name is Candice Ballinger and I am a Christian woman who loves Jesus and his word.

Glory

The Lord deserves glory

for He's the creator of all things,

He did what pleased Him

from the tops of our heads

to the bottom of our feet

for he so loved the world,

a king was sprung to life

a man of gentle power;

that healed and forgave

without any effete

he changed the fabric of life as we know it,

a holy servant

serving those who dared to believe,

and a humble soul

His name is Jesus Christ

deserving of all our extol

I AM
the one and only

and with that,

we will never decontrol.

Tree of Life

I am honored by your awesome victory

you are all good,

that is your right

I stretch my hands to the sky

I sing for you, mighty ruler,

how shall I revel in your beauty?

You're the only one who knows my soul;

as well as my heart,

I hate that temptation takes a hold of me,

sometimes I can't seem to put up a good enough fight

I give in and sin becomes alive,

oh how the guilt eats at my conscious

it breaks me down

my weaknesses made completely known,

for who is without failure?

Who can dare say that's not me?

For we all have this thing called sin nature,

and it all started with the serpent

and the fruit from that tree.
