Poem: "God's Got This!"

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

Poem Summary

"God's Got This!" is a poem about how she struggles each day with problems. She tries facing them alone. Once she prays for guidance from the angels she feels a weight lift off her shoulders. She knows God's got this!

"God's Got This!"

She struggles each day

facing problems head on,

instead asking God for his help.

She prays for guidance

from the angels in heaven,

to teach her

how to let God be in control.

Suddenly she feels a weight lifting off her shoulders,

she feels at peace

knowing he is fighting her battles,

God's got this!

Struggling with problems - Then listen to this!

So many times in life we struggle with our problems.

Listen to this inspirational lesson by Joel Osteen- God's Got This!

It will shed new light on dealing with the problems we encounter.

Dora,

Thank you.

I think sometimes we just get caught up with what's going on and try to do things on our own.

We should always stop & ask for his guidance.

Have a great day.

Prayer is that powerful. Yes, I believe and I can relate to struggling without asking for God's help. I know better.

It is reassuring to know that there is a power greater than anything on earth and that our understanding will be opened as we make our way into the next life. "Give it to God" is a good message to carry with us always.

Chitrangada,

I just read your poem, Accepting the change...

It is true we should accept change without fear, but after a certain age we just want to relax and enjoy life.

No more changes...it's tiresome.

Ankita,

I just read your poem " Currently Unaware".

Your words describe my brain on overtime like every day.

I get random thoughts alot & if I don't write it down it becomes lost forever.

Sometimes these thoughts interrupt my current train of thought...like out of nowhere they pop in my brain & I will say something and others have no idea why I was even thinking about that I said.

Good writing.

Chitrangada,

God does watch over us but I believe we must ask for his help.

We must tyrn our troubles over to him and accept the outcome.

He has a plan for each one of us.

Thank you so much for reading.

Have a terrific day!

Lorna,

Sometimes in life things happen so quickly that we forget to stop and take a breath.

We should always stop & take time to ask for God's help.

Beautifully expressed poem. I do believe, that He is always watching us, will always guide and protect us. We should do our best, and leave the rest to him.

As always, great poem, with deep thoughts.

Thanks for sharing.

This is a very beautiful and powerful poem, Brenda. No matter the circumstances, we're never alone.

I love the Reba song. So very touching and appropriate.

Bill Holland from Olympia, WA on October 11, 2020:

Let go and let God...a mentor taught me that little saying fourteen years ago, and I'll be darned if it didn't work. :) I love the message in this poem.

Lorna Lamon on October 11, 2020:

It's easy to get caught up in the sorrow of the world, however, it's worth remembering that God's presence is always near. A reassuring light in the darkness. A beautiful and spiritual poem Brenda full of hope and love.

Liz Westwood from UK on October 11, 2020:

This poem makes a very valid point. Only today I was reflecting that whatever happens in these turbulent times, there is one constant never-changing presence with us: God. Whether in life here on earth or after death, when we are in heaven, God is with us.

BRENDA ARLEDGE (author) from Washington Court House on October 10, 2020:

Asad,

You are right, but we all face problems every day.

Turning them over to the hands of God is the best way to deal with them.

Have a great day.

Thank you for reading.
