Poem: Forgotten Feeling

I am a writer. My passion is poetry. I feel words connect people together and help us to understand the feelings we share.

"Funny Familiar Forgotten Feelings" by Tom Jones

"Forgotten Feeling"

She had forgotten the feeling
of someone truly being interested,
that excitement, that thrill
lingering through every vein of her body.

That bubbly sensation
she feels inside,
when a smile
comes across her face
reading his incoming text.

That feeling of being important
in someone’s life,
when he focuses on her every word
with a glint in his eye,
respecting her value,
including her in important details
of his life.

She eagerly looks forward
to experiencing this type of love,
knowing she deserves someone
who holds her close to his heart,
anxiously anticipating
each moment they share.
