Poem: Favor

My name is Candice Ballinger and I am a Christian woman who loves Jesus and his word.

Favor

Husbands trust your wives

hold her closely and try to understand,

mother's breath life into your children

take no turn at the whipping post,

take your time when you pray

relish in the Lord's favor,

rejoice at the sound of His name

temptations will come and go,

but the Father's love is forever

let His light shine brightly upon you

do not mistake His grace for pity,

He loves all his children;

making a way for each and every one of them,

the tree of life is but wisdom in disguise,

yes the Lord wanted it this way.

Desires

Follow the Lord's instructions;

the same way you guard your own eyes

insightful people that you are,

beware the desire to sin

it beckons you to come,

it wants to ravage your life

it will take hold of your children;

making them slaves

acting out its evil deeds,

teach them to repent

to come before the Lord,

kneeling at His feet

ask for His gift of forgiveness,

for He will always forgive

but you mustn't hide away;

ashamed to come to the Father's throne

your sins will start to decay within,

wreaking havoc on your body, mind, and soul

let His blood cleanse you

forever making you whole.
