Poem Summary

False hope is about his words making her feel like a squashed bug. Her heart left bleeding on the floor. She had no reason to suspect these unbearable words. Her world is crumbling. She has no where to turn. She realizes he gave her false hope and deceitful promises everyday.

She feels like a bug
being squashed to death
on the bottom of his shoe,
when his words slice her heart
leaving her bleeding on the floor.

these unbearable words to be spoken
from his lips,
when their passion is burning out of control
like a wildfire.

She is lost
with her world crumbling
beneath her feet,
her mind bewildered
with no where left to turn.

A nothingness,
she has not felt before
embraces her bleeding heart,
as she realizes all the false hope
and deceitful promises he made,
each and every day.

Hope renewed is about a woman who lives her life believing she is content. Until a man speaks a few words and smiles at her. He reminds her of a dream she once held in her heart. She cannot erase the vision and wonders if it is possible to have this dream once more.

Feeling hope is about a woman who has fallen into a deep space of no return, but when she looks into his eyes it gives her hope. She believes she can have a second chance at love. He gives her hope to greet tomorrow.
